What You'll Learn in Beginner's Foot Reflexology

During this two-day foundational training, you’ll learn both the theory and hands-on skills needed to perform a complete foot reflexology treatment.

You’ll learn:

  • How to perform a complete 60-minute foot reflexology session

  • How to read and understand reflexology foot maps

  • The history and development of reflexology

  • How to complete client intake forms and perform basic foot observations

  • The core principles of reflexology practice

  • Benefits, contraindications, and client safety considerations

  • Professional standards of care and hygiene

  • The equipment needed and the natural flow of a full treatment session

Students pursuing certification will also complete a 25-treatment practicum following the in-class training, along with assigned workbook questions. This practicum helps build confidence, strengthen technique, and provide real-world experience.

Students taking the course for personal interest are not required to complete the practicum. No prior knowledge or experience is required.

Why Learn Reflexology

Foot reflexology is a practical, hands-on modality that can be used to support relaxation, encourage overall well-being, and create a deeply calming experience for the person receiving the treatment.

Learning reflexology can give you:

  • A skill you can use with family and friends

  • A strong foundation for a professional reflexology practice

  • Greater confidence working with the feet and reflex points

  • A better understanding of how to structure a complete treatment

  • A gentle, non-invasive wellness modality that can complement other holistic practices

  • Practical tools you can continue building on through more advanced training

Whether you’re learning for personal interest or considering reflexology as part of your professional path, this course is designed to give you a solid, usable foundation from the very beginning.

Your Path Toward Professional Reflexology

The Beginner’s Foot Reflexology Course can be taken on its own for personal interest, or as the first step toward becoming a professional reflexologist.

Students who choose the professional pathway continue on to the Advanced Foot Reflexology Course and complete the required practicum work. After successfully completing both levels of training, the practicum requirements, and the final exam, students may apply to the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) for professional registration.
