Why Astrology?

My journey down the astrology road, happened by chance!

It all began on Mother’s Day several years ago. A team of reflexologists from my clinic decided to offer sessions at a special event being held in a garden of one of our local wineries. We each set up a station under a tent that offered some shade, on an unlikely 30 degree plus day in May. The environment was beautiful, with vases bursting of fresh spring flowers, aromatherapy billowing out of the diffuser and the soft noise of fans trying to keep up in the sweltering heat. It smelt and felt like relaxation. Soon the host began ushering in our guests, and we got to work.

Later that afternoon, I had a bubbly red headed lady sit down at my station. We began the treatment and some light conversation entailed. She had been suffering from plantar fasciitis for some time now and had very sore feet. I treated clients with this condition often and new that I could help by relieving some of her discomfort. The conversation took an interesting turn when I discovered she was a Professional Astrologist. I had never been interested in Astrology and didn’t know much about it, but for some reason I blurted out “we should do trades”. I would do reflexology sessions for her and in return she would do astrology readings for me. I gave her my business card in return for a promise that she’d contact me to set it up. Little did I know then that this would change my view on everything! And I mean everything!

Shortly after, she did contact me, and we set up our first trade. She came to my space in the clinic and did a natal chart reading for me. My mind was blown! How did she know so much about me? My character, my quarks, my struggles and my life purpose? The story she told was mostly familiar. It was things that I had figured out over years through self-development courses, self-exploration and some self-sabotage. She was nearly a stranger, who had me all figured out, just  by studying a bizarre round chart of sorts. Could the cosmos really affect me so much? Was there a chart that was like a life blueprint? I needed to know more.

I was fascinated and we planned our next trade. This time she did a natal chart reading for me regarding my oldest son Leo. Again, she “hit the nail on the head”, so to speak. She even told me of several ways that I could support my 8-year-old boy on his life journey. I discovered what he needed from me as a mother and why he was the way he was. It all started to make sense to me. Next, she read my other son’s chart, then my husband’s and the visit after that, we dove into a chart that combined both my husband’s and my chart, to gain insight into our relationship. This information transformed how I related to each family member. I put all my parenting books on the back shelf and decided that Astrology was the secret to being the best mother, wife and me, that I could be.

I enrolled in several courses and began the study of Astrology, which will be a life long learning journey. 

I love the feeling I get while doing Natal Chart Readings for my client, as the insights from the cosmos flow through me. Astrology has opened the door for me to go deeper with my clients, aiding them in finding greater understanding regarding their character, their strengths and weaknesses and their life purpose.
