I am passionate about teaching Reiki and Reflexology!

As a Registered Reflexologist who has been practicing for 10 years, I now enjoy teaching others this beautiful and therapeutic modality.

One of my gifts is encouraging my students to find their own unique and authentic style while maintaining the integrity of the practice. It is important for blossoming practitioners to be supported as they learn, grow and find their individual path.

I've also been a Reiki Master for twelve years. I believe that everyone would benefit from learning reiki and getting attuned to reiki energy. It's such a beautiful gift to have the ability to lessen/ heal pain, emotional distress and illness in your own body or in your loved ones.

After working as a Paramedic for 11 years I developed severe PTSD. Reflexology and Reiki were a huge part of my own healing journey. Now I am passing this knowledge on to my students, so they too can take part in healing others around them.

I love seeing the changes and growth in my students and I am passionate about mentoring others to be the best practitioner that they can possibly be.

After working various jobs in the customer service industry in my early 20's and dealing with extreme anxiety and panic attacks I found myself on a medical leave, unsure of what my future held. When it came time to regroup and make a new plan for myself I asked myself "What makes me feel good when I'm doing it?" At that time I was volunteering once a week doing Reiki with a group of First Nations Elders and I LOVED my time there with them...So I went all-in and slowly built up my Reiki practice, eventually opening up my own studio and expanding services from there.

My sensitivities that overwhelmed me in a hectic customer service environment became my superpowers when I was one-on-one with people and it felt safe to relax into and explore my abilities. I learned very quickly that I like to connect with people in a way that is real, vulnerable and open and that most people were lacking a safe-space like that in their lives. With a shared intention for healing and open trust in the energywork I was providing, this form of connecting led to massive transformations for my clients and I found what I was meant to be doing!

This is what makes me so passionate about teaching holistic healing methods such as Reiki and Reflexology. I know there are other big-hearted people out there who feel deeply called to help others but need the encouragement, guidance, confidence and tools to shift into their purpose. I also know there are countless people out there waiting for your unique style of healing that only you can offer!

Whether you want to learn Reiki for your own betterment and spiritual development or if you're wanting to start your own practice, I am thrilled and honored to help you step into your power and remember who you are when you're held in a space that celebrates all parts of you and nurtures you into the full, unique expression of who you're meant to be.

My holistic journey began in 2020, when I decided to delve into various healing practices. I completed my massage therapy education and achieved my Reiki Level 1 and 2 certifications. I found that my yoga teacher training also deepened my connection to mind, body, and spirit. Since then, I have integrated these modalities into my practice and have expanded my offerings to include reflexology and Indian head massage.

In addition to my hands-on treatments, I am dedicated to sharing my expertise through the courses PetalRoot offers, including both beginner and advanced reflexology courses, which I have been the assistant teacher for on many occasions. I have also helped facilitate Reiki courses and leading transformational workshops and events designed to empower individuals on their own wellness journeys.

My approach to wellness is holistic, focusing not just on physical relief, but on emotional and energetic healing as well. I believe that true healing involves nurturing the body, mind, and spirit, and I holds space for clients to explore these aspects of themselves in a safe and supportive environment. I am excited to continue developing new courses to further support and guide those seeking balance, health, and inner peace.

My treatments, including massage therapy, reflexology, and Indian head massage, are designed to help clients find relief from physical pain, emotional stress, and energetic blockages. My motto is to "leave it better than you found it," and I am dedicated to helping others refill their cups, ensuring they can be the best version of themselves without risk of burnout.

Reiki Courses

Reiki Level One, Reiki Level Two and Reiki Level 3/ Master are each one-day, intensive and transformative courses which include both theory and hands-on training. Our Instructors are experienced, compassionate and are excited to mentor and support new practitioners on their Reiki journey.

The reiki 1 and 2 courses are both approved the the Canadian Reiki Association and you leave with a certificate in the level that you complete. Reiki Level 3 you will also leave with a certificate of completion. Please note that if you are registering for a course greater than 2 months prior, you will need to contact us at petalrootschool@gmail.com to add you manually to the course.

Reiki Level One (prerequisite: none)

Level 1 Reiki teaches you to do Self Reiki Sessions and focuses primarily on Physical Healing.

In Level One you will learn:

How to Perform a Reiki Self Treatment

In the afternoon you will receive your Reiki Level 1 Attunement and we will practice Self Reiki Sessions. Your Reiki Level 1 Certificate will be awarded at the end of the day.

Reiki Level Two (prerequisite: reiki level one, from any teacher/ school)

Level 2 Reiki is where you learn to work on others and provides you with a symbol for Mental/Emotional Healing as well as Distance Reiki Sessions.

In Level 2 you will Learn:

How to Perform Group Sessions
Working with Spirit Guides
Performing Distance Sessions
Reiki for Animals, Babies and Pregnant Women

In the afternoon you will receive your Level 2 attunement and we'll practice Reiki Sessions on each other as well as Distance Healing.

In the afternoon you will receive your Level 3 attunement and we'll practice using the techniques we learned in the morning.

Reflexology Courses

We teach two levels of foot reflexology, the Beginners Course and the Advanced Course. Both courses are accredited by and up to the standards of the "Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association". You will have the option, after completing both courses in full, of applying to the NHPC Association, in order to become a Registered Reflexologist with a number. This will allow your client to get coverage by extended Healthcare Benefits. Start your journey towards becoming a professional reflexologist or learning a new skill to work on your family and friends. Beginners Foot Reflexology (prerequisite: none)

The Beginners Course which is also known as Grid Style Reflexology is most commonly practiced in North America and predominantly uses thumb walking techniques to give a gentle yet therapeutic Reflexology session. In this course you will learn the skills, background and knowledge to treat your friends and family and also take the first step to offering Reflexology professionally.

This is a two day course and includes a short practicum in order to gain your certificate. The practicum consists of 25 treatments on your friends or family members and some homework questions.

Advanced Foot Reflexology (prerequisite: Beginners Foot Reflexology/ another approved refexology course)

The Advanced Course is focused on teaching you Chinese Style Reflexology. This style uses knuckles, gliding and body rocking to deliver a deeper, smoother Reflexology session using specialized techniques that allow the practitioner to perform the treatment with more ease and flow.

You will learn in this course:

Detailed Acupressure points, specific to Chinese Reflexology.
Basic Anatomy and Physiology.
Foot Anatomy and Function
Foot Conditions
Infusing Reflexology and Reiki
Specific Points Related to Conditions
Steps to Starting A Reflexology Business
The Associations and How To Get Registered

The Advanced Course is available to those who have taken the Beginners Course. This course will take place over three days. There will be homework, a practicum including 35 treatments and both a written and practical exam, which must all be completed before earning your Advanced Certificate. Once this course is completed you will have fulfilled the requirements needed to apply with an Association in order to become a full fledge Registered Reflexologist. Once you are Registered and have a number, clients can more easily get coverage from their extended benefits provider, you can join the Association directory for more exposure and it increases your professional standing as a Practitioner of Reflexology.

Massage Courses

The PetalRoot school is excited to add massage courses to our offerings! We are starting with the Indian Head Massage course and will soon be adding more massage courses to our list. These courses are great for practitioners as they expand their practice or for students who are wanting to move towards starting their own holistic business. Indian Head Massage (prerequisite: none)

Whether you’re a wellness practitioner wanting to expand your skills or simply curious about holistic therapies, learning Indian Head Massage is a deeply valuable way to bring balance, relaxation, and healing into your life. Rooted in ancient Ayurvedic tradition, this practice supports the nervous system, improves circulation, promotes hair and scalp health, and encourages energetic release.

In this Course we will explore:

The history and benefits of Ayurvedic therapies and Indian Head Massage
Muscles of the neck and face and how to relieve tension
The lymphatic system and how facial drainage supports skin health and immunity
Marma points of the face and their energetic benefits
Aromatherapy, including the use of rosemary essential oil for hair and scalp health

This is a full one day course learning theory of holistic and indian head massage in the morning and the afternoon will be dedicated to demonstration and hands-on practice, giving you the confidence to integrate Indian Head Massage into your own wellness toolkit. A Journey Through The Chakras

Whether you’re a healing practitioner wanting to deepen your knowledge or you’re on a journey of self discovery and healing, learning about the Chakras, the makeup of our energetic field and how we can positively influence them is deeply valuable!

In this 4 Hour Intensive Workshop we will learn:

What are the Chakras and How do they affect our lives and our wellbeing

Be able to Recognize if the Chakras are Overactive/Underactive
How to Balance the Chakras through Meditation/Visualization, Chanting, Lifestyle Hacks and Affirmations, Food, Crystals and Sound
